This website (www.outdoorffnats.com)
will serve as a means of communicating between myself and the
participants of the 2013 Outdoor Free Flight NATS.
As there is a lot of info out on the internet tucked away in various
corners of the web, some of it at times gets updated, others not, some
is easy to find, some not. My intent here is to have one place
through which I convey all current information, namely this website.

The 2013 NATS / USOC is in
the books.
It was my pleasure being the CD, getting to
know many of you much more than I have in the past while I was actively
flying. It was also my pleasure meeting a good many of you for the
first time. Though I did not get a chance to talk at length with all
of you, my time with those that I did was memorable
I want to personally thank
all those who helped and all of those who flew, without either this NATS
would not have been what it was
Overall it was my perception
that the event came off well. The weather was not the best we have
enjoyed over the years, however it was not the worst either. During
all 5 days we had
flyable weather, with the only non-flyable time was between about 1:00 PM
and 4:00 PM on Wednesday when a storm came through. The good news was
the temperatures were about 10 degrees below normal and the wind direction
was constant each day making setting up in one location possible
I think the scores show that
the level of competition was high in most if not all of the mainstream
events. There were a total of (6) National Records set and applied
for.

So, the 2013 NATS /
USOC is a wrap and as soon as I get this website into "done done" mode I can
look forward to next year when I will be returning to the ranks of a
contestant!
